First Visit

Thank you for choosing our office, where we have created a comfortable environment in which you can feel confident about the dental care you receive. Our goal is to give you the best dental experience you have ever had.  During your first visit, our objective is to get to know you better, to become familiar with your past dental experiences and to establish a treatment plan that will best meet your dental needs and expectations.

When you arrive, please be prepared to complete a registration form that gives  a history of your medical care, dental history and customer service preferences.   If you prefer to complete this form prior to your appointment, it can be downloaded and printed from the tab on the left of this page marked, patient forms.  Also, please provide the following information:

  • Any  X-rays taken within the past six-eighteen months. This helps avoid unnecessary imaging if your records are current.
  • If you have dental insurance, please bring your insurance card. This will help us give you an estimate of costs.

Your initial appointment will last about an hour.  In most cases, we will clean your teeth, provide an oral cancer screening and thorough exam of your TMJ, teeth and gums.     Our office utilizes digital x-rays to minimize radiation exposure and intra-oral photography to provide clear and detailed explanations of our findings.  These hi-tech investments keep our patients raving about the advances made in dentistry and our commitment to providing you the highest level of care.  After the examination, a detailed summary that outlines any existing dental problems and proposed treatment is provided by the doctor. This information is presented in a manner that makes patients feel empowered about their dental health, requesting their input and questions along the way.   Take-home oral hygiene instructions will also be provided, along with any suggestions to help you care for your teeth.

We believe that good dental care begins with open communication, and we promise to speak candidly with you. Working together, we can achieve a true partnership with one common goal – keeping your teeth, gums and jaw joints healthy for a lifetime!
