Implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into the jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge.  Implants are used to replace one or more missing teeth.  The process is typically completed in 2-stages, where the first stage is completed by one of our local surgeons.  The surgeon places the implant into the jaw bone where the natural tooth is missing.  Once the implant has integrated and become part of your jaw bone, we restore the implant placing a tooth on top of it.

Stage one is completed at the surgeon's office using local anesthesia (similar to a filling).  Stage two is completed at our office and most of the time doesn't even require numbing.  Implants are an advancement in dentistry that has significantly improved the outcome of missing teeth.
